Dinner welcoming new students and Mr. Alan Leong

Time & Date: 7pm, Friday, 9/28/07
Location: ABC Restaurant, Foster City
COST: free for new student, $15 per returning student, and $30 per non-student participant

Continuing our one-year-old tradition of welcoming new Wah Yan students coming to study in the Bay Area, we will hold our welcoming dinner at ABC Restaurant in Foster City at 7pm on Friday, 9/28. Our guest of honor is Mr. Alan Leong (WYK '76), Legislative Councillor in HK and a candidate of the HKSAR Chief Executive election held earlier this year. Alan will be giving a talk at UC Berkeley prior to the dinner. If you are interested in his talk at Berkeley, visit the following website:

Another guest of honor is Ms. Doris Cheung, Director of the HK Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco. Doris is no stranger to many of you, as she and his son, also a WY alumnus, attended our past activities.

We welcome each and every one of you to attend the dinner with your significant other or family. We collected the email addresses of about 15 new students. There may be more that we are not aware. Feel free to distribute this email to any new student from Wah Yan and any fellow alumni in the Bay Area.

We need a rough headcount soon. Please RSVP to me, Ambrose, and Kevin (stanchow@comcast.net; ambroseleungchinman@yahoo.com.hk; kevin_fb@berkeley.edu) with the number of people attending by Saturday, 9/15. Ambrose and Kevin will be arranging transportation for the new students.

Hope to see many of you on 9/28.

regards,
Stan
