Our beloved Fr. J. Foley, S.J. (serving in Wah Yan from 1949-1978, with 1962-68 as the Principal) passed away peacefully at 2300GMT on 4th September, 2006 in the Jesuit nursing home, Cherryfield Dublin, according to his nephew Mr. Joe Toner. Fr. Foley started his teaching in Wah Yan College Hong Kong in 1949 for a year and returned in 1954 after his Tertianship for another 7 years until 1962

The highly anticipated and successful 2005 fundraising event for the Fr. Deignan Scholarship took place on November 5 and 6, 2005. We raised more than $55,000 to replenish the scholarship fund.
